FOUNDER AND HEAD CHEF AT VIETQ FOODS
As a first-generation Vietnamese living in New Zealand, food has always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking with my parents and learning the flavours and techniques of traditional Vietnamese dishes.
For the last 20 years I’ve been cooking for and serving this community — and I’m excited to keep bringing that same passion for traditional Vietnamese cuisine to Matakana through VietQ.
I’m dedicated to using the freshest, highest-quality ingredients to create delicious, authentic dishes that transport our customers straight to Vietnam with every bite.
My goal is to share the amazing taste of Vietnamese food with Matakana, and to create a memorable dining experience for every guest — whether you’re joining us at the cafe or ordering catering for your next gathering.
